Statistically speaking, the dude that killed the last woolly mammoth is either a ton of peoples ancestor or nobody's ancestor

Humans really came to that island and went "I thought we got rid of these a couple thousand years ago"

You forgot the best part: they were dwarfs! They were only about 6 feet tall at the shoulder, half the size of regular Mammoths. Smaller size allowed them to survive on less resources on limited landmass, AKA the Island Effect.

mammoths being alive when the pyramids were being built is one of the few cross-culture historical accuracies that also actually feels correct to me. so many instances of "x and y existed at the same time" feel insane, but not this one, that feels right

Humans arriving on the island and seeing Mammoth: "How many times do I have to teach you this lesson, old man!?"

Mammoths: thank god we’re safe
Humans: *invents boat*
Mammoths: fuck.

The pyramids were 2000 years old when the mammoths dies. The pyramids were ruins when the mammoths died. Puts things in a weird perspective

I can't believe that Milo personally killed all of the mammoths. And here i thought he was a nice guy...

shoutout to us for either peer pressuring every animal to either evolve or die

To be fair, 1 mammoth was like an entire Walmart to our ancestors: lots of food, clothing, tools, and even construction materials, all from one source.

Imagine being one of those first humans to reach that island and see one of those mammoths…that must have been both terrifying and amazing!

Humans looked at the Mammoths and went "Absolutely not".

You can't fool me, I know the mammoths left the island to build the pyramids, then escaped Earth's dome with their alien hoverships

I already knew they were extinct but to know they lived that little bit longer and humans still got them makes me sad.

That's nice of him to use both his thumbs and take the fall for all of us, what a nice guy

“You look like your ancestors killed the last mammoth” is a great insult

Scientists are like:
WHAT'S FOUR THOUSAND MORE YEARS?
I CAN ALWAYS START AGAIN,
MAKE A NEW MAMMOTH!

Edit: I also don't like invincible.

Imagine exploring new land and you are the first person to see a mammoth in 6000 years. Nobody would believe you

This feels like it’d be an amazing tv show pitch

First learned about Wrangle Island from VSauce. Now, years later here it is again. I love that education just builds on what came before.
