My cat’s “zoomies” are during the day. Never thought much of it. She just Tokyo drifts into a room, asserts her superiority with ears flattened and then resumes tearing ass through the house. She is currently training for the marathon.

My cat gets the "zoomies" right before I go to bed when I'm brushing my teeth. By the time I'm done with my nightly routine, she is waiting by the bedroom door to go to sleep. She is the most polite cat, I've ever met! I've always thought, she was just getting her cardio in before bed! She is an older cat, but is very young at heart!

I recently got a kitty and had no idea this was a normal behavior. I freaked out the first time she got "zoomies" and I was almost about to call the vet 😅

My cat has two modes: entirely silent and thunderous herd of elephants.

Silent mode means she wants to be unnoticed and will be annoyed if you acknowledge her presence. Thunderous herd mode means if you ignore her you will regret it.

Rabbits get these too - sometimes my cat and rabbit will zoomy together and it is utterly hilarious😂

My cat literally asks for zoomies: after lunch or dinner he starts crying and calling for us, and when we show up he runs away like a rocket, so we are compelled to chase him through the house. The good thing is, he sleeps all night afterwards

My cats never have the "Zoomies" in fact I have to turn them over every two hours or they go flat on one side!

I'm a night owl anyways, so I've never been affected by my cat's "zoomies". I find them rather entertaining. 😄

I call it quantum energy. A cat has a certain quanta of energy. If it is not expended, the cat will explode.

My brother told me the zoomies are called FRAP. Frequent random activity periods. He learned it in psychology I think. My cat’s name is Chi Chi, so when she does this, I call her Frappuccino 🤣

When my cat gets the zoomies, I use that opportunity to play with him and chase him all around the house until all his energy is spent and then he gets calm and its all over till the next time. I will add that the inconvenience about this is that it always happens around the time i have to leave for work or appointments so i am almost always late. But i take the time to do this for him. What else can you do but love the little buggers😻
