Why you should play? Simple, it won best game of the year for 3 separate award. You can play it on mobile, ps5 and my favourite, on PC. I never a fan of Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3 so this game is perfect for me.

I Adore Honkai Star My favorite way to play is a DoT focused teambuild

Much like genshin, teambuilding is one of my favorite parts of HSR, and, also like genshin, they unfortunately paywall the living crap out of it. BUT unlike genshin, they dole out pulls in HSR like candy by comparison, and even though its still hard to fully build someone brand new, it actually feels do-able within a reasonable timeframe (ESPECIALLY with the trailblaze power banking, so i take a week off and have 2400 'resin' to spend? hot damn), not to mention being able to auto-battle for farming, dailies, etc. help immensely for keeping up with them, and ergo having even more pulls and resources. Can I pull on and gain every 5 star character in the game? that is still a no (and not just because there are ~40 in GI and 24 in HSR), however you do get enough to get a few teams worth of 5 stars, especially if you consistently get all the refreshing rewards like SU, MoC, and now PF, which i don't even do a quarter of every other rotation.

I just randomly jumped back into GI and pulled Nahida, my first actually decent MDPS since game launch, and building her is a nightmare. I hope against hope they add the resin banking to GI soon.

here's why:
The game has been VERY VERY GENEROUS (thats a good thing keep reading)
But the problem at the end of the day is, its a gacha no matter how you slice it. I want to play with a cool master of lightning. Not a bunch of children and I am sorry to say this, but like half the cast of characters looks like they are barely adults. What's worse, If I want even a chance at the character i want to play, I have to apparently wait a year to get the CHANCE to play with them.

Gacha aside, Let's talk animations, sure these animations are cool, but I will add this. Some animations are insanely bright. Example: Natasha's Ult feels like a flash bang to the eyes if you are looking at the screen. I been playing games for 10 years, I have no fucking life, hence why I am making a comment on youtube in deep explanation for a lot of people who won't even read it XD.
But this is the first time I had to use sunglasses to look at the game. It was that flashy.

Like out of most gachas out there, it has a good community, and very generous with its rewards. If you don't care about what i said above, give it a go, but ya. Those are my cents
