I never cared for AR but I love me some Charli XCX . Her linking up with AR took me by surprise. With Charlie as a friend and collaborator, I think Addison has the potential to grow more organically as a real artist. Obsessed felt so fabricated. TDF was so much better. I'm actually excited to see how she experiments with music next

Here after Diet Pepsi dropped! I really like the direction she’s going down. I’m a Zillennial, so I didn’t give a shit about her era of Tiktokers and I wasn’t her target demographic at the time. When obsessed came out, I was so confused why everyone hated it bc it instantly was in my liked songs on Spotify. I think she’s carving herself out a very cool place in the industry, and I’m here for it!

Addison is one person I can take seriously regarding getting famous on TikTok and starting a music career because she's proving herself (btw I'm saying this after hearing her new single Diet Pepsi). It seems like even during her song obsessed, she had a vision, and even if it wasn't just out of this world, it showed that she had potential, ideas, and confidence, which is all you really need. The only thing I don't love is how easily someone gets handed the pop princess title. You work for that it shouldn't just be because they come out with one good song or they rebrand themselves. Most of these older artists were great from the beginning and it still took them years to get handed a big title or way of being perceived.

Addison said in an interview I think for vogue, I'm not sure, that this is not a rebrand this is just who she is. I think we keep forgetting tht she's only 22 she was literally a child when she got famous. This is not a " rebrand " I think its literally just her growing up and coming into her own 😭😭😭

addison actually has some unreleased music in 2022 that had a lot of potential! she could be way cooler sticking with charli and maybe even pulling a carly rae jepson or clairo by collaborating with some pc music seniors (ag cook, easy fun, etc) <3

Honestly I wasn’t much of a fan of obsessed apart from the pre chorus, but when she released AR I was super hooked especially to 'I got it bad' and 'Nothing On (But the Radio)' and I feel like she’s got a lot of potential going down the road and I’m excited to see what she does in the future with her branding

Obsessed is a great song. Only discovered it post-Charli XCX collaborations. I reckon there's a big market out there, especially the non-Gen Z non-Tik Tok market. Addison Rae seems like the only celebrity of that generation that isn't a child trying to act like an adult.
