Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge | Snapdragon X Elite Laptop for €1800!

Samsung is working on a new addition to its Galaxy Book series called the Galaxy Book 4 Edge, and now the first information about the upcoming price of the device in Europe has surfaced.

Samsung plans to release the Galaxy Book 4 Edge in the coming months. This will be the company's first laptop based on the Snapdragon X Elite processor. This is a high-performance ARM-SoC from Qualcomm with 12 cores and a frequency of up to 4.3 GHz. It uses for the first time the new "Oryon" processor with "Phoenix" cores, which was developed by former Apple chip makers. Recently, the Galaxy Book 4 Edge with this chip successfully passed the performance test in the Geekbench benchmark.

Qualcomm said the new top-of-the-line processor in various performance versions will be able to compete with Apple's M-series chips, potentially closing the performance gap between Windows-based and MacOS-based devices. That's why Qualcomm was able to attract cooperation from almost all PC ecosystems, including Samsung, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS and others.

According to the first data from retailers, the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge will be equipped with a 14-inch display. In addition, the laptop will be offered with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, and the RAM will most likely not be expandable. Exact details are currently unknown, and it is also unclear whether versions with less RAM and non-volatile memory are planned.

The price of the Galaxy Book 4 Edge will probably be around 1,800 euros. So it's definitely a premium offering for which Samsung, like the rest of the Galaxy Book 4 Pro and Ultra series, will demand a decent price. Compared to the Intel-based Galaxy Book 4 series notebooks, the Galaxy Book Edge has one advantage: it should last longer on battery life. Also, the presence of a built-in 5G modem is likely to be attractive, although this has yet to be confirmed, although Qualcomm usually equips its new top-of-the-line chip with 5G support. Compared to the latest MacBook Air from Apple, which in the version with a 13.6-inch display and an identical memory configuration costs 1,759 euros in Germany, Samsung's new laptop does not have a price advantage.

Anyone has to be uninformed buying any non uphradable laptop with less than 32 gigs ram, not to mention, it's WAY over priced even if it did have 32 gigs ram

And claiming Apple ARM was dominant is misinformed, it dominated at battery life, that's all it dominated, the best Apple cpu always lost to the best x86, even though it had exponentially more transistors, (squandering exponentially more transistors the only reason it was even close)
