Highbridge Hotel in the Bronx! I just spent a week there last week. A little under 200 a night. Most reasonably priced full featured hotel I’ve ever seen in the city! 3 minute walk from the 4 train, safe neighborhood, continental breakfast, extremely safe and clean hotel with BIG rooms and beds. Literally can’t beat that

This video is a fantastic guide for anyone planning a trip to New York City, especially those who want to find the perfect place to stay without breaking the bank. The detailed list of hotels and accommodations offers something for everyone, no matter your budget. I appreciate how the video not only highlights the best places to stay, like Aloft LIC and the Refinery Hotel, but also provides useful links and a free 3-day NYC itinerary, which is incredibly helpful for first-time visitors.

The inclusion of hotels across different neighborhoods, like Arlo Williamsburg, shows a well-rounded understanding of the city, allowing viewers to explore beyond the typical tourist spots. The video's production quality and the clear, concise information make it a must-watch for anyone looking to make the most out of their NYC visit. Whether you’re a budget traveler or looking for something more upscale, this guide has you covered.

Great job on creating such an informative and engaging video! I’ll definitely be checking out some of these recommendations on my next trip to NYC

I am a native, and I feel the prices are still very high. when you factor in food, train, drinks, coffee ect. It depresses me how much traveling is.

Hey Sarah, my husband and I spent an amazing week in NYC last month for our 15th wedding anniversary. It was my first time in the city and we had to go on a budget and we went with a hotel in Maspeth Queens next to some business, near a highway and next to an old Jewish cemetery. No tourists. Definitely where the real New Yorkers lived because we commuted by bus, to the subway station, to Manhattan, etc. We also chose it because we drove to NYC and needed to find a place with free parking so hey, it was there and you know what??

It didn't change our enjoyment of NYC at all. Did we have the great spectacular view? No. It was a very quiet view of graves but we weren't spending much time at the hotel because we were spending our time exploring the city and experiencing NYC as a regular local and I fell in love!

I want to go back so much now 🤩😍 so even though we were at a cheap but comfortable hotel, it still worked out for us in the end.

I went to NY in December, and we stayed in Sonder at Battery Park. It was a pretty good stay, the commute was pretty easy too to all out of attractions

Took your advice and got a hotel in Long Island City. Saved enough money on a 3 day stay to pay for tickets to a show on Broadway. Thanks.
The skyline view is a highlight.

Just went to New york for the first time and followed your advice regarding Long Island and stayed at the Boro Hotel walking distance to the metro, some views, good breakfast, rooms basic but good . The only thing the whole city smells like weed 😂

My boyfriend’s grandparents live in New Jersey not too far from the city. If we ever want to go there, we would save a lot staying with his grandparents!

Another option is to stay in Jersey City or Hoboken. You can get into Manhattan just as fast as you can from Queens. In Jersey you'll get a view of Manhattan, but you'll be paying less money or getting much more space for your money. Also, if you want to drive to NYC you can park your car in Jersey for MUCH less. Leave you car in Jersey and take the PATH or ferry into Manhattan. Jersey City and Hoboken look just like many parts of Brooklyn. You can take pictures of Hoboken or JC and tell your friends you stayed in Brooklyn and they'll never know the diff.

I stayed at The Flat NYC on W 24th St in the Flatiron District, really central to all the main tourist sites and attractions and had some good food options nearby. Rooms were a little small which is typical of big city hotel rooms in NYC, London, Paris etc and there were shared bathrooms but overall it was comfortable and the staff were really friendly, also free water, tea and coffee in the lobby.

It was about $216USD per night which was not bad value given it was pretty centrally located, I’d recommend it to people wanting to stay in midtown Manhattan.

Dang. You're idea of "without going broke" is a bit different than mine. :D ...luckily there are affordable places. Staying in Downtown Brooklyn in February. $120-ish night. Also great train options there.

I will be in NYC for 10 days & I really don't care how big my room is or the history of the hotel. I won't be doing anything but sleeping in it! I must have stumbled on the wrong channel lol. I want cheap comfortable beds in safe but interesting neighbourhoods with interesting shops & galleries, good restaurants/street eats & bars where I will hang with locals not tourists. Any ideas helpful x

LIC all the way. I've stayed with friends and in the middle of Manhattan in a nice hotel but LIC is the way. My up coming visit will be the 2nd time in LIC with a different hotel so can't speak to the hotel just yet. However the location is ideal, 2 mins from a subway stop which goes right into Manhattan. Also a nice, safe feeling area, which is a big deal.
