The only problem with the "war pony" idea is that most nobility were actually physically larger than the average citizen of the day. And steel armor weighs a lot. Physically there is no way a pony could handle a mounted knight. No they weren't riding percherons and Clydesdales, but the horses carrying knights into battle had to be able to carry a fully armored person ... and I've helped SCA combatants into chain mail ... the stuff is heavy. And while there are draft ponies, something the size of a First Nations pony would have been more likely ...and they're actually horses. Now, when our archaeologists show us the heavy muscle attachment areas and strong bones for carrying armored warriors, I'll reconsider. But what we know as ponies today would not do the job. What we now call a quarter horse, is what used to be called a pony and they're a good bit bigger than the equines with which we bless the name today. Give me measurements, how many hands/inches/feet high at the shoulder are we talking? Because that's one thing I haven't seen so far.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but all the videos from this channel are super quiet. Like it has to be silent around me to hear them at max volume on my phone. I end up switching cuz I just can't hear. Can it be louder?

if I could travel in time, I would probably have the jurrasic period at the top of my list, just so that I could get actual photographic images of all the dinosaur's to compare them to our reconstructions of those same animals. I think it would be a vital tool to getting us closer to our history. Let's face it, most dinosaurs are typically a grey or brown colour. But I dont think that would work as they would stand out among the green flaura and fauna. They were hunters, and to attack their prey they would have to blend in with their surroundings in order to be more successful.

Yeh, I can't see a knight of 6 foot weighing 200lbs plus armour riding about on a pony, Eurasian ponies were strong & fast but they carried smaller soldiers wearing light or little armour, to carry a knight in full armour at a charge that would make the ground vibrate as it was said to do would have taken a horse of at least a normal size at the very least, many founding the UK used what was described as "CartHorses" or "HeavyHorses" these would have no problem carrying a large man in full armour at full chat.
