The inventor and YouTube star creates some of the world's most dangerous (and pointless) contraptions.

Watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert weeknights at 11:35 PM ET/10:35 PM CT. Only on CBS.

---
Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"

you can't fake the kind of fear in stephen's eyes when he realized the crowd demands he put the helmet on.

but gotta respect him for committing to keeping them entertained and putting it on anyways

God it's weird seeing YouTubers on television. It's such a clash of cultures to see Simone next to Colbert.

Props to Stephen for pronouncing her last name right though.

This girl really has talent for entertaining a crowd, very self-confident, charming and witty. She's a natural. I liked this video

She's fantastically charismatic. I'm not sure if she's been on tv before, but she nails this!

I love how Simone was dressed in a jumpsuit, hair back, ready to have toothpaste and lipstick smeared all over her, and then Stephen unwittingly jumps in front of the bullet right as she's explaining the helmet. Love that momentary pause where she's like "...do you want to??"
I'm sure that was an audible that no one in the makeup department saw coming lol

I am so glad CBS bleeped the swedish swear word for "shitty". I would hate for young Swedish kids to hear those words. Are you kids alright? Did you survive? Do you need counselling? (sarcasm indeed)

4:06 was perfect. From the sudden realization that Stephen has to wear lipstick for the crowd to the awkward silence after said realization to Simone's glance at Stephen that says, "So... you ready for this?"
