Also i believe a lot kf type 4 girls struggle because they dont detangle often. I detangle with hands 2 times a week and with a brush once a week. If other hair types went months without detangling their hair (even those wjth straight hair) will struggle to detangle their hair. 4c hair is not difficult to manage at all. It's just neglected and given bad image.

I graduated cosmetology school and this video is singlehandedly more informative than everything i learned for how to care for Black hair as that school didn't teach a single thing about Black hair but to chemically alter it.

I haven’t seen a girl with actual 4C hair. This is amazing. I’m literally in the middle of taking down my braids😅

As a teenage girl who is still learning her natural hair, this helped very much as I'm still learning how to wash and style my hair correctly. This video really helped for when I have my next wash day thank you ❤🥰

This video is a perfectly articulated demonstration of why washing (more) often and avoiding heavy products is so beneficial for us!! Thank you!

i feel like keeping your 4c hair trimmed is another key aspect. because our hair is high in density and SO curly. the hair strands tend to loc on themselves and split. I saw so much improvement in moisture and health after regulary trimming my hair. and i my hair and i love yours too and the im so happy young black girls are growing up with role models like u. cheers to the revolution <3

this is kinda unrelated but if anyone is worried about water usage, you can turn off the water during the detangling process (make sure to throughly wet your hair though :))

As a 13 year old girl, I am so happy I came across this video.
I have or had trouble seeing my self-worth, and seeing the beauty of my hair.
My hair is short, the front part of my hair goes down to my eye, the sides of my hair goes down to my ears, and the back barely surpasses my neck.
I’ve disliked when people compared my hair to others. I also have 4c hair, I have also disliked my shrinkage.

After reading your Sudani Diaries ‘A Beginner’s Guide to Loving Your Natural Hair’ I noticed that the things I disliked about myself wasn’t nice to think of.
I’m going to learn how to love the things I disliked about myself.

Thank you so much, keep up the good work, and I am looking forward to seeing your next video’s. Bye💕!
Have a good day❤️!

I agree I usually wash once a week and my hair never dries out. That’s what makes it more manageable vs starting on dry matted hair. Don’t even let it get to that point. One time I washed my hair after 5 days recently and my hair was so soft and I detangled so fast my husband was surprised. My hair was happy and soft vs when I would go 2-4 weeks.

The shrinkage is crazy! But that’s the magical part. You can switch between a twa or a medium length twist out 😍

I’m so freakin happy that I stumbled upon your channel! I was getting so discouraged being natural and seeing so much anti-natural talk and rep on social media, especially short haired natural. It means so much to see someone on a similar journey to me. Thank you for being here! ❤️

I'm so glad that you're on Youtube and make these videos.
This is exactly the type of representation I wish I have had when I went natural many years ago
