NASA Launches DART Mission In First Asteroid Deflection Test

NASA launched its Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. It’s the first mission to attempt to deflect an asteroid.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've seen the pictures of Nagasaki and Hiroshima and with am atomic B we didn't even knock down all trees but we expected to change the course of an asteroid? I mean the Armageddon scene seems more sellable to me and that was just a movie. I hope someone here has a good "worth reading " answer. Thank you and stay blessed.

How many probabilities of paths will this asteroid take if they are successful in changing its orbit ? , where is this asteroids orbit now ? Something serious must be going on for them to spend millions of dollars on this project.
