Panettone baked French toast with bacon recipe #frenchtoast

You see will panettone French toast being made in my house in December every year, but my husband stumbled upon an amazing Italian market in Franklin Square and they were giving them away with every purchase. So, we had to come up with something to do with it!

I had a ton of bacon left over from yesterday’s BECs and I am all about using all the food in my house since we are paying 5x for everything these days.

Here’s what you need to make this dish. By the way, you can soak it overnight to get ahead of your morning.

1 panettone chopped (cut off the ends and discard)
5 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla
2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
6-7 slices of pre cooked bacon (chopped)

Place panettone in baking dish mixed with bacon. In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients, pour over bread and press down.

Cook at 350 for 30-35 min uncovered.

Top w maple syrup and powdered sugar. Enjoy!
