I think that the estimate of 20.7 meters and 127 tons for Meg Is totally exaggerated because It was super slow before, now It would be literally immobile and It has cartilage that can't sopporto to much weight, but good video

I’d say it’s clear that Meg wins. Livy was an animal that most likely relied on pack hunting just like many other dolphins and toothed whales. Meg was a solitary whale hunter.

The Meg had a stronger bite force + sharper teeth (which both would matter more than larger teeth), had the sensory and natural skill to hunt large whales on its own, and apparently it was likely significantly bigger as well. But even if they were about the same size, Meg should have a clear advantage in a purely 1v1 situation. It’d be pretty odd to deny that if you were to actually look at the facts of how similar animals interact in the modern world.

Intelligence isn’t gonna matter in this fight (and it is basically irrelevant in the vast majority of animal fights), but these fans don’t seem to realize that or just don’t want to accept it. The travel speed isn’t really that important to look at either once they are already attacking each other…
However, it is a nice bonus that the Meg doesn’t ever have to worry about coming up for air. Meaning it would never have to worry about putting itself in such a vulnerable position.

Meg wins at least 7/10 in my view. I think it’s pretty clear that it has the advantage though.

Like when do you ever see a dolphin or whale take on a predatory shark that is the same size (if not bigger) as them and win lol. Some of you guys must not be that knowledgeable on how the marine food chains work…

Megalodons usually grow up to 15-18 meters and weigh 50-70 Tons
and Megalodon that size is likely to lose to Livyatan but Abnormally Large Megalodon which is almost 21 Meters in Length and Weights more than 100 Tons will definetely win

Liviyatan Melville was a super predator, but megalodon was the apex predator so fights were in favor megalodon, but that doesn’t mean the liviyatan wasn’t capable of claiming territory and dominion over a megalodon in some rare cases. Nature always has and exception
