I never thought about Brideshead as dark academia but now that you mention it in that context, it definitely is. I always think of Oxford when I think of it. One of my favorite books ever. Great recommendations!

You are not the only person who enjoyed Northanger Abbey, the most of all of Jane Austen's works. I've attempted her most popular novels( P&P, Persuasion and Emma) multiple times and DNF'd them all. At least now you know that you're not alone😂.
