In this video I am going to share 5 cardmaking hacks. These are all things that I do in my own card making and they help to save time and money! It wasn't until I got the the end of hack 5, that I realised I had made a card using these hacks! I want to say that I planned it that way, but I really didn't!

Thanks for the hacks, I think the double sided tape is brilliant as I dont need double sided sheets alot so this will be a great idea for me. Also the foam. X x

Used this cheat loads. It does save your pennies! If using a pearl card or even paper, I
sometimes just run a Promarker or copic pen and draw that liner around the layer (They don't bleed through pearl card)
Lovely stary paper!

Good ideas and "hacks". I actually think that "surprise" card is cute.
I like making larger cards because my eyes tend to be blurry and larger cards make it easier for me to see what I'm doing. I buy cardstock in plain colours so that I can cut my own card bases because buyin larger card bases here (rural western Canada) is expensive and they are hard to find. I mostly make 6x6 cards, which are pretty easy to cut. However since the biggest cardstock or paper size seems to be 12x12, cutting my own 8x8 cards is "difficult" (I've looked for 16x16, but so far no luck). I've been trying to figure out how to get decent 8x8 card bases from 12x12 cardstock. So far, joining 2 pieces of 8x8 cardstock together with a hinge has been the best looking, although it does leave a little 1/2" strip on the left side of the front (I don't really care about the bit on the back). Any thoughts on how to do this properly?
