This webinar will provide an introduction to joint displays for the purpose of facilitating integration in mixed methods research. Integration is a defining feature of mixed methods and procedures for integration are gaining sophistication, yet presenting integration continues to be a challenge in mixed methods manuscripts, reports, and dissertations. We will focus on three common uses of joint displays: 1) to merge and compare qualitative and quantitative results, 2) to systematically connect from an initial quantitative phase to a follow-up qualitative phase, and 3) to systematically use qualitative findings to build a quantitative instrument.
