(0/10) CC3D Flight Controller for Beginners - Welcome and use LibrePilot!

preview_player
Показать описание
Welcome to the CC3D series. This is video is a short intro recorded after the rest of the series was completed. The main software used I the series - Openpilot - sadly 'died' in July 2015 so now the hobby is using one of it's successors.

The interface, way it works and capabilities are the same as we use in the videos.

Best of luck with your build! Happy flying!

Tks Lee, i'm a Naze lover, but this little board with Librepilot looks promising, hopefully! Looking forward to this new tutorial on this new solution. Cheers Lads, and safe Flying!

Thank you Lee, I remember when you did a video about how opensource software works and you did such a great job covering it. Cheers, Buddy

HiI have built the HY-J3 Tricopter using your follow to guides, have reached the point where I am connecting to Libre pilot and going through the set up, I have reached the stage where you power up a motor using libre pilot and you tell it to stop as soon as the motor starts to turn, if that makes sense I am sure you will know what I meanunfortuatly the motor will not power up, I am using a CC3D flight controller and the same power ditribution board as you have, strangly enoug when I connect the battery to motors do twitch and the ESC's do make a soundso my question is, what have I done wrong? does the cc3d required its own power supply from the power distribution board?I notice the the connectors coming from the ESC's to the flight controller only have 2 wires ( black & white) but the flight controller has three pinsany help would be very much appreciated as it would prevent me from losing any more of the little hair I have leftthanks

Nice job on the quad! I have a question-- I can not get the cc3d board to hook up. It gives me the warning that it is waiting for the board to be connected, and I must manually update board with the plug in. Can not fly--any ideas? It hooked once just after the build-- then, never again.

I have a cc3d board, and don't know too much about PID's at all. Any help for some stable and good PID settings, and for the rate p/s etc. Any help would be great! Thanks.

HI, I emailed you before, I am building a Tarot TL250H Quadcopter with an original cc3d board I am using my Taranis plus tx and a x8r rx sbus I am using the magic stick that comes with the tarot my question is since I am using the magicstick pdb and the esc's get soldered to it the cc3d board will get powered through the esc's through the rx? I saw a video on how to hook up sbus with a servo wire to the one port does this work? Thank you in advance for any or all info!! also thank you for all the videos you make on builds not just showing how to do it but also explaining why it is done this way!

So with LIbrePilot GCS 16.09.. Can you make a backflip/Frontflip and complete Roll left & right with the stabilization modes configuration being... Roll : rate, Pitch : Rate, Yaw : Rate, Thrust : manual..?

Hello !! Thanks for answering.
Set command is ..
Mode sele / FM-PPM
Type seal / ACRO
Modulat / PPM
Stick set / MODE 2

Func setting did not move.
The receiver 9X8Cv2 called the CC3D black wire board in the negative red wire to white wire positive sign in the bat / bind.
Thank you!

Any chance of a small update to cover the CC3D EVO board and its Spektrum satellite receiver connections? I am having the devil of a time trying to find any info on these ports. Or can I just plug the 3 pin connector that comes with the satellite receiver into one of these ports (i.e. does it plug in directly or do i need a 3.3v conversion board?)

I just downloaded libre pilot but am yet to take the plunge. I am happy with op so unsure whether to do so.

Love your videos. I've learned so much. Maybe you can help with this one. I've converted my Kylin 250 (using SBus and Radiolink Transmitter ) to FrSky X4R SBus and Taranis. Kylin 250m has a CC3D and OSD all on the one board. Now I want to disable all the OSD information. I tried to connect through the OSD port with the OSD Config application. I un checked all the OSD information and all looked good on the application screen. I saved and disconnected, then reset the OSD port to telemetry. Now my goggles/LCD video display show some strange wording "aiting for heartbeat"plus some other info. Is there a way of turning off all the OSD functions for a clear screen? Any help would be much appreciated. Thakls Alan

Has anyone had any luck with open pilot and or libre pilot. I had no luck with open pilot so I downloaded libre pilot. I connected everything using PWM. I also connected a servo to prove that the Tx /Rx bind was working and it was. I calibrated the motors and got up to the Transmitter section. For some reason, only the throttle and pitch channels register. I cannot get the yaw or the aileron channels to work when I following the software config and move the Tx sticks. So for this reason I cannot press Next and move on. I've gotta say, I have already moved up a level by dumping the KK2 mini board because the receiver test would always show as No Signal. Now

I have also tried using PPM with one lead plugged in only. The servo doesn't work and I cannot get my motors to spin. Something is not right. When you watch these youtube vids, it looks and sounds simple and easy to do, but it is not. I have two quads that I have built myself, installed the electronics, have used /tried both the KK2 mini and now the Mini Open Pilot board with no luck on both. I cannot get these quads fly ready. Should I down load clean flight or beta flight and flash my mini open pilot board. If I don;t get mission accomplished soon, I'm going to either turn off the quad hobby hype or buy an RTF quad without any of these hassles. Not impressed so far and I'm quite pedantic about the way I approach this, especially with the wiring and electronics involved. This has tested my patience beyond what I expected. Any advice from anyone is welcomed with open arms.

As soon as I go to Librapilot.org, I get a warning that this is not a safe site! Any comments?

Running op/lp is pointless on a 6dof cc3d.... Betaflight is the way to go. And also since a spracingf3 board is only 18$, there is little reason to even buy the cc3d anymore.
