Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have broken their commitment to create a watchdog with the power to compel evidence related to human rights abuse allegations linked to Canadian companies with international operations, including mining corporations.

Three years after the announcement of the creation of this ombudsperson, the office will soon be opening but without the promised powers to compel witnesses and documents.

Global News investigates recent allegations of human rights abuses fired at one Canadian mining company's operations in Brazil and how the Canadian government is failing to give the new office enough powers to probe cases like these.

I'm sorry to say that Canada has a weak, corrupt leader and government at this time. It worries more about appearances on the world stage, than actually doing the right things. The lack of transparency, the placement of unqualified individuals in the government, who are merely there due to their gender, or color. We need a 3rd party created that will be better than this. Please Pierre Poilievre, create your own moderate conservative party and you will get alotvo votes.

Bit tardy, it now being 22:52 on Feb. 26th, BUT it sure seems that Trudeau and the rest of his team of so-called Liberals are liberal as hell and would merit to be indicted for complicity in the crimes of Cdn cies, both at home, so nationally, as well as internationally.
