This is wrong way of calculation. We must consider our monthly grid slab and then add the A/C consumption. 5 star matters a lot when you are at higher slab.

Seems like you are sharing these details specifically for Bangalore. In Delhi or Kolkata, the numbers are much higher as the electricity rates are on a Slab basis.

Annual consumption of a 3 star 2 ton AC is around 4452.95 Units in these areas. Which makes the AC recover the price difference just in under a year.
