I ordered ONE OF MY CAKES from 1 vs. 5 STAR BAKERY

A 1 vs. 5 star bakery tries to re-create one of MY VIRAL CAKES! The results were shocking!! I did not expect that! #Fail?

I have never done anything like this before, and I LOVED it!! Reviewing two local bakeries who attempted my viral Crayon Box Cake for Back to School! I unboxed the two cakes and was shocked by the results! They both used different tecniques to attempt my cake including fondant, buttercream and edible images. How can three cakes look SOOOO different?

I've always thought fondant tasted gross. So when an entire cake is covered in it, it doesn't feel like a cake anymore. Your buttercream skills are something I would pay $190 for.

If you make this a series, you should judge them without knowing which is the 5 star and which is the 1 star. Then try to guess which is which

I feel like if the 1 star place had put the edible image down first, then did the fondant corners over it, it would have made a HUGE difference.

I think the texture on the 5 star bakery cake actually makes it really cute, even if it's not accurate to actual Crayola crayon boxes. Personally I would love it but to each their own

That one star cake would’ve been so much better if they would’ve at least laid the image down and put the icing on the top! That way at least those harsh paper lines would’ve been hidden

the one star bakery really is setting themselves up for all their bad reviews. you can’t charge that much money for a cake and it not look flawless and what you want. the five star bakery has good reviews because for a “cheap” custom cake, they do put effort into it and the results are cute
