Oh shopping around is a game changer. I learned this from you and it meant a 2.7% interest rate versus a 3.2% interest rate. My husband was super resistant, but I went against him on that one and he thanked me.

I did 5 lender applications in a 2 week span . After the 3rd I felt a little nervous and weird but I was trusting the process. I just needed to see how different lender’s viewed me and what they offered.

The credit bureau should STOP selling phone and info to all the spammy lenders. Shit a after credit pull, messages and calls are non stop coming in.

Thanks for this! When we bought our first house we didnt shop around for agents or lenders and that was a mistake, in fact, we are lucky we didnt get screwed over because we had no idea what we were doing!

I was told that 5, 000 isn't enough to start the home buying process in 2024. That's horrible. The house only cost 169k

Any lender that says they will match rates means they know they can get beat and they are offering you a higher deal then you can get with them. Don’t work with the matchers. Work with the ones giving you a legit good deal. VETERANS make sure you are shopping rates and fees. Way too many lenders you are calling are charging you a wayyy to much

That happened to me last month. My agent was expecting me to pay for escot fees without knowing anything. We had to move fast if I wanted to buy the house. I walked away and will definitely search for multiple lenders and agents.

I wanted to do it but the builder told me that if I didn’t used their preferred lender I was not going to get the incentive that they were offering, it was $12k for closing costs. I couldn’t pass it up.

Who feels that we shouldn’t go thru all this to buy a home..we should be given the best price available.. I know in a perfect world but still. Once you are done paying the house you’ve actually paid 3x or more the amount don’t we deserve some honesty? On top of all that money we have to do our due diligence? It’s just too much
