I once walked down to a new game store when I was still on campus in college to see if they had any stuff for Bolt Action, which they didn’t, but since I had already walked down there I figured I’d pick up some dice while I was there.

I grabbed 4 sets of D6s, of two different colors, and tried to buy them but my card wouldn’t go through. It wasn’t because I didn’t have money in my account, but because that specific system the store had couldn’t process the specific brand of card I had.

The guy was super nice about it though and let me keep those sets of dice(worth about 30$) so long as I kept going to the same store, which I did because that’s where my school’s DnD club moved its weekly oneshots to.

I never had to pay the guy back directly for the dice, even though I did end up buying stuff from them later. They later thanked me because they figured out that fault in their system entirely because I showed up that one night and my card didn’t work.

I still feel guilty though, lol.
