Best take of the video was the piano jazz and your elfish expression! Thanks for breaking the barrier of cold weather camping, its inspiring.

My wife and i are very new to RVing. Bought our first RV (2005 21' Forest River) about 6 weeks ago. Last week we took it out on our maiden voyage. Overnight temps dipped to 27°. We found out that the furnace doesn't work. We also didn't have a space heater with us. Thankfully we had plenty of blankets and each-other!

Great video and you're a natural speaker. Who are the 100 people that don't like this video. They must be some bitter miserable people.

I have the same heater in my Boreas XT square drop camper. I have an 11 lb tank also, plus a spare tank. I also use the propane for a Dometic two burner pull out cook top. I purchased my camper in May of 2020, and have camped in it now maybe 20 to 25 nights. 10 or so of those nights were in the dead of winter. In the winter I only use a regular quilt blanket for warmth, and rely on the heater to warm up the space. I AM STILL NOT THROUGH THE FIRST TANK. I am so impressed with how efficient the heater is. I ran it for 9 hours each winter camp night keeping the inside temp at around 75 degrees. My only complaint with the heater is that the thermostat is slow to respond. It will get hotter than I want before it turns off, and will get colder than I want before it kicks back on. Throughout the night there is a temperature fluctuation of about 10 degrees, over and over again. Plus the fan is quite loud. Its hard to complain though about that when I think about the fact that this is the first camper I ever purchased and prior I was sleeping in a tent in the winter (my favorite time of year to camp).

I have a truck camper and it's inconvenient to pull my tank for weighing so I bought the same monitor you're using and it lasted for one tank of propane before it started reading 100% or 17%. I loved it, for the whole tank. The tank was brand new and I cleaned surface, re-gelled the sensor and even changed the battery. It was used in the warm Florida climate and out of the weather. I read reviews where others had the same problem. Now I pour a little hot water down the side and check the condensation line. I also have an accurate lpg handheld scale for tanks not mounted in the camper. I hope yours lasts longer than mine but keep us updated.

Wow thank you for the tip about the magnetic propane measuring device. I have two gauges on my propane tank, but neither one is really very accurate. The ideal setup is to have two propane tanks, but there's no room for another one on my RV.

Great video.

I recently purchased three of the Mopeka sensors for our three 30# tanks and their wifi bridge for our 5th wheel. We have our rig parked in a long term static site. We have a router in the rig connected to the parks wifi so I can constantly monitor our propane. It gives me peace of mind during the winter when we have to run the furnace during freezing temps.

Great video I learned more in ten minutes watching your stuff than hours of others.

Been doing a lot of research before starting to build my teardrop and came across the same heater. Plan on having multiple ways of heat since I’m in Wisconsin (gets pretty cold here). I want to be comfortable in any weather. You had the information that I was looking for and that was a rough estimate of how long propane would last. Will definitely be adding another tank to the plans. Thank you much! Love the vids. Subscribed!
