i. The moon has set and the Pleiades; it is midnight, and time goes by, and I lie alone.
Love shakes my soul.
So do the oak-trees on the mountain shake in the wind.

ii. Accept the fountain of my tears,
O Thou who drawest down from the clouds the waters of the sea.
Incline to the groanings of my heart,
O Thou who in Thine ineffable self-emptying hast bowed down the heavens...

iii. Oh! your eyes which change colour perpetually. Your eyes seduce me and tear me apart.
My hands are shaking like wounded birds inside your strong as steel hands.
And your body seems so nervous and vigorous as it melts my tired one...

iv. I always go back there at sunrise of our beautiful love.
I'm afraid I won't be lucky and that it will leave for the reversible passages.
I'm trying to give her life by recalling her first glimmers, but our unadulterated drunkenness near her wastes her gifts so much...
And I'm completely devoted to find your glance which was so beautiful and full.
I wish everything was magnetic as an attraction...
While our love carelessly spreads flowers everywhere around us,
a hidden misery keeps my thoughts enslaved to the first bud...
