Marvel's Avengers are Marvel Legends in comic books and we're excited to see what will happen with them in Marvel Phase 4. The backstories of these characters seems way too convoluted to get my interest. I can barely follow this summary. The power level of some of them seems too inflated = why do people like Star Brand, Phoenix and Avenger Prime need the rest of the team?

Avenger Prime v. 2 seemed to be a Celestial. Captain America's team during the first Civil War had no official status, so Bill Foster wasn't a member, not even honorary or posthumously. Perhaps they'll bring him back or maybe his nephew will join. The Registration Act was overturned when Cap was Commander Rogers, it was the "team" during Civil War and the New Avengers issues 27-64 vol. 1 they operated underground.
