This was a great video. Very informative. I like how you compared the different materials, and best uses. The material has a ton of applications, even in the marine industry. Thanks! 👍👍

Thanks so much for this vid. completely unrelated to what I'm doing as a project but you actually handled the sheet and demonstrated flexibility which is all I needed to know.

I'm glad I stumbled onto this video. I just bought an android car stereo and for better visibility I'm mounting it on top of my dash. On the 98-02 forester there's a storage spot on top of the dash where I removed and add the stereo. I tried to wrap fake leather on Styrofoam, but it looks bad. So. I am going for abs plastic and use the heat torch I already have to build the housing.

thank you guys so much for taking the time to do these videos guys! i've been watching a bunch of em to help me plan & install a system in my new vehicle. i watched your oscilliscope vid after buying that liumi scope you guys showed to figure out the clipping point for my factory head unit, watched the lc7i vid to help me decide to go with that for intergration with my factory head unit which already has apple carplay etc, & this one on which plastic to go with in order to make a couple amp & battery racks on either side inside the humps to the left & right of the rear strut panels in my hrv have been so valuable!

flush cutters are a life savor, but for anyone who doesn't want to spend the $$ for a good set, or in a bind at home. My $200 tech tip. Use rounded toe nail cutters. I keep a few sets around just in case I need to do zip-tie work. Puts a really smooth round edge on it that wont send you to the ER

I have bought a 1/4” of Blown pvc at 24”x 48”. Having a hard time finding a threaded insert for it, to mount my amps to. On the inside of my 2014 jeep Cherokee limited. I am running a kicker zx1500.1 and a Rockford fosgate prime r300-4. I have 1/2 of your tools in your toolbox. I don’t have the drill bits for threading yet. But I do have the threaded installer and threaded inserts installer for an impact driver, that are both from your tool box. I’m expanding a little at a time. Father of 2 girls, 17 and 2. The oldest loves stereo systems. So I saved and got what I needed to install my system this summer when she visits from so cal. I live in Maine. I plan on going to the back seat install for the amps. Full back seat install. The nugget rides in the middle in a rear facing seat. Have kicker cs speakers all around. 6x9 in rear doors, 6 1/2 components up front, both off the Rockford amp, eventually. The 3 1/2 kicker cs up front in the corners is off the stock deck. I will be running 3 kicker 12” doc 4ohm l7’s off the kicker amp wired at 2.45 ohms. Just trying to perfect the install! Any suggestions on the inserts for the amps? Using what I have? Or should I mount them in a different area? I don’t have the premium system. Or should I save for 1/2” abs plastic ? My goal is to have a system wired just like yours!! This time around I will minus the braided covers on the wires. I can add on later, when I find my color scheme in stock. Black and yellow. Steelers and Boston Bruins colors. Hopefully you can help. (207) 800-5920
