Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water follows the journey of Jake Sully and Neytiri's newfound family. Why did James Cameron cut this out 😢 it added the horror to this scene and why Spider was so afraid he hid from Neytiri

I honestly can’t say I blame her.
Neytiri has had her planet invaded twice, she had her sister, father and then her first born murdered while humans from earth believed they could steal her home .
The ancestral home they lived in for centuries was destroyed and when she finally believed it was over and she and her family could be safe they came back.
I truly do not believe Neytiri is a bad person.
She is simply a mother who has lost to much at the hands of greedy people.

This truly showed how powerful the rage of a mother can be after she has lost her beloved son to these people.

This is the first time I saw her as truly alien. She was so overcome with grief and it really showed the power of a Na'vii. That knife for one thing is about the same size as a sword.

to all the people that she lost like her sister being killed in front of her, her dad, ikran, almost the love of her life and the her son, their sweet firstborn.. a mother losing her child it’s the most pain a woman can get and never truly heal! so that scene it’s a real rage, wish it was on the movie but disney would cut it anyway

She is the embodiment of every mother who's had a child taken from them. It's terrifying and beautiful.

Damn, that's even more brutal than a rated r film, but I think that was for the death of her oldest son Neyetam who got shot by Wainfleet while saving Spider

Honestly I think the raw emotion of this scene adds more than its absence does. It shows a mother and a warrior at her breaking point, she’s turned into an apathetic killing machine who is willing to do anything to achieve her goal and save what’s left of her family.
It’s too bad cinema is often prevented from having these kinds of scenes because people want to take their kids to it.

Yeah, this REALLY shows why spider is scared shitless seeing her, if it's not Navi it's being killed
