Synopsis:
Mankind attains longevity through gene manipulation, but finds itself on the road to extinction when the species loses the ability to reproduce. Their clones who rebelled 1,600 years ago are now known as Marigans and rule the bottomless underworld. Some of them seem to have become fertile and the government takes this as a ray of hope and decides to send civilians in to carry out an ecological study. Selected for the mission, Burton sets off on an adventure through a subterranean labyrinth crawling with monsters in order to secure humanity’s future.

What made me fall in LOVE with Takahide Hori's works was the fact that this movie has a perfect blend of comedic absurdity paired with general uncanny vibes. It's weird, gross, scary, disturbing, COMPLETELY breaking standards; but also executes these things in a way that *you can't help but love.* While the majority of Junk Head's world should make you uneasy, nervous, and scared; instead it's making you laugh and quell that unease VERY QUICKLY with character interactions, situational comedy, odd character designs, fine tuned music and sound design, and worldbuilding.

It's deliciously weird, to put it simply.

Ive seen it on youtube like a week ago, it was obviously pirated, and being honest, it has been rent free on my head since then, they removed the video so for a few seconds i thought i dreamt it as i didnt see it on my history, ive gonna research more abouth tye film, honestly fascinating
