Doesn't look particularly "dangerous" to me compared with old fashioned pressure cookers. In fact, it looks very much like it was explicitly designed such that the lid blows off cleanly and evenly at a relatively low pressure if the normal pressure relief valve fails, rather than continuing to build pressure to the point that the metal sides of the canister rupture causing an extreme detonation-like explosion in a more poorly designed device. Further, if we count the seconds the lid is in the air (3) and divide by two, we can see it was in freefall for only about 1.5 seconds and couldn't have achieved a heignt of more than about 40 ft. That's hardly very extreme at all and is unlikely to have even enough force to blow through a drywall ceiling. I'm impressed with the safety of this device.

Lol we had a chefman brand pressure cooker go off with bean stew in it lmao! To this day nearly 40 years later I can find beans we missed cleaning up lmao!

Me watching this while concerned our pressure cooker is leaking air and could be failing. I released it all though.

I stumbled onto this video and it looks like a staged set up to me. First thing I noticed was there was only water in the one that exploded. Who pressure cooks water? Second thing that looked odd to me is the two pots are outside sitting on too narrow of a bench. Stupid thing to do. The third thing is the video only shows the explosion, it doesn’t show the pots being prepared before hand nor the parts of the exploded one after. To me one or both pots were set up to explode on purpose.

Is this the Aicok? because it's disturbing the little information available to the consumer about how to operate it or clean the valve which appears to be integrated to the unit. Very distressing.

Everyone can say what they want, this pressure cooker blew up on my fiance, and messed her up very bad, with permanent damage burning 30 percent of her body, and yes the safety features malfunction, you have been warned.
