I'm pretty sure this is based on a real cat that was in care home. Sure they can probably be explained by science but also I think it's amazing that it was reported to have a 100% accuracy rate. Every old person the cat comforted ended up dying the next day. The nurses believed it and every time it happened, they would call the families of the old person and sure enough, not long after, they would die.

For anyone wondering, patients with fever were given heated blankets, and the cat liked to stay warm in a hospice and hospital that was normally cold and frigid. Sick, elderly people with fever symptoms don't usually make it.

My dad said something about this when he was a kid his grandmother was in the hospital and a cat kept walking around was owned by a nurse and she took it to work well really was a stray that went to the hospital all the time first, but it always went to the people who died room before they died so they start using it as a detector and it started working, they were able to save lives because of the cat

Cats can actually tell if someone is going to die or not, just like how dogs can tell if you are gonna faint or not. My 3 cats are bunch of AHs but when my gf got pregnant, they were suddenly very very affectionate towards her and would even cuddle with her. And when the baby was born, they went back to becoming AHs...

When people are going to die their bodies profuce anything and everything to try and keep you alive in your final moments. When your in your last moments and feel cold, you get a burst of heat and energy. The person that started the whole cat fiasco had a fever while she was working i'm pretty sure.

Animals automatically can sense when someone is troubled or on their last legs. Cats like the heat off the bodies but they also give the person something to hold onto in their last moments. Dogs can actully till if someone is going to die and comfort them, at least from what I have seen.
