Dragonfly catching and eating a mosquito

This is one of the reasons why we love dragonflies. Adult dragonflies mostly eat other flying insects, particularly midges and mosquitoes. They also will take butterflies, moths and smaller dragonflies. A fun fact - A dragonfly can eat food equal to its own weight in about 30 minutes.
