As long as the PPKM lockdown continues as long all the life in Bali will stay quiet. Unfortunately the lockdown will not end on Monday I suppose. Hopefully it goes down from level 4 to level 3.

Glad to see you back together, guys! Wow, sad that the Beach BBQ has closed and not even there now :(. I remember many years ago when we had a house at Pelabuhan Ratu in West Java, Damian, that I asked the same question about dogs when I noticed that there were none to be seen. After being in Bali seeing so many I remember being surprised at their absence just like you were. I think in Jakarta now more people have dogs as pets but in those days back in the 90's, and especially out of the city in the smaller towns and villages, dogs were, and I am sure still are, seen to be najis (unclean). Actually, sadly, I remember also in Bali many years ago seeing some really healthy dogs being kept and looked after in cages and apparently they were being fattened up to be eaten :(. Winny could tell you more about this but apparently the belief among some men is that dog meat gives you extra strength :(...

Looks like the young crowd had moved on to places in the world with less restrictions. Canngu has had it good for a while but Canggu needs to adapt to domestic population at the moment.
