Does Canggu live up to all the hype in 2022? We check out the cafes, beaches and roads to find out

In this day out in Canggu we start with lunch at Cinta. We visit Batu Bolong and Echo beaches before grabbing a gelato. Finally we head to Berawa beach to watch sunset. We see how affordable a yummy brunch and gelato are here, and compare the beaches here to those in Seminyak.

Without a doubt, Canggu is one of the most popular expat areas to live in Bali. There’s a concentration of great western restaurants, Instagrammable cafes and coworking spaces that make it easy for a foreigner to live there. But Canggu can also be more expensive, have heavier traffic on its tight roads and have less idyllic beaches than other areas of the island.

As Indonesian, maybe Canggu is not first choice.. maybe Canggu is just for foreign tourist. Kuta and Sanur is my choice
