"Its not fair for everyone to get the same pay because some people work harder than others"
Welcome to literally every other job in the world

In Japan, tipping is not allowed. If you pay your staff appropriately, no other pay is needed than what they deserve.

Tipping needs to die forever. Servers need to complain to the restaurant industry. The owners should be "tipping" the waiting staff with actual living wages, not diners.

Restaurant owners should just pay their workers real living wages and stop shifting the responsibility to customers.

I'll gladly walk to the kitchen and get my order back to the table...lol

I always thought that a tip was something that was earned. Now it's just expected.

I used to drive uber and I made way below minimum wage, and I must have picked up at least 50 waiters/ waitresses. Never once did they tip me.
Double standard.

Rewarding employees for being hard workers is the boss's job not the client's.
End of the story.

It's not our job to pay company's staff. NEVER tip

Tipping is 100% voluntary. If you have to pay a tip then it is not tipping anymore. I don't mind pay extra to waiters and waitresses BUT STOP CALLING IT TIPPING BECAUSE IT IS NOT.

Why don’t cashiers at grocery stores get tips? I used to scan. Bag. And put groceries in peoples buggies all the time. No tips. Lol

You're already paying through the nose for the food. How about the businesses pay their staff properly and not pass that bill onto the customers too. It works everywhere else in the world.

Why do people believe they are entitled to a 20% tip simply for sitting a plate on a table? I can do that myself. I would rather tip the cook who actually prepared my food.

She said it’s not fair because ppl work harder than others. lol, the chefs work the most but no one goes to the kitchen to tip them

Lets be real, waitresses act like beaches when you get there and all lovey dovey when it’s time to pay the check. Customer service at restaurants have become a joke and too fake!

Pay your staff a decent wage like Japan, Canada, Australia, France, UK etc, etc, etc. Do not give me bs about higher prices, dining out in Europe is no more expensive and those servers even have healthcare.

Quick history
Tipping was something restaurant owners came up with to pay them less money

Why should you tip people who are been paid to work

Tipping isnt rewarding hard work, its enabling restaurants to bypass minimum wage laws by making the customer pay the waitress directly. The fact that it is expected completely ruins the concept of being a reward of any kind.
