Very disappointed that our crappy Samsung dryer only lasted for less than 4 years before the drum cracked.  I had never heard of this happening before to ANY dryer...EVER!  Samsung didn't stand behind their product and claimed that there is no design flaw (despite the internet being littered with posts from people all experiencing the EXACT same problem, a crack on the weld of the drum).  What a bunch of blatant liars.

Anyways, the one bright spot in the whole incident was finding this video.  The video made the replacement look simple to do myself...AND IT WAS!!  I cannot thank you enough.  You probably saved me $100-$200 from having to have a repair man replace it.  Finished the whole job in under an hour, including washing my hands.  And no parts left over either!!  THANKS!!!

Very good video!! Just took the drum out due to a crack about one inch long. Got some JB weld epoxy and sealed the crack back up. I used a tie strap to close the crack, epoxied it, then took the strap off once the epoxy dried. Put it right back and works perfectly again.

I have an LG TROMM. Same problem as previous commenter - drum came apart at the seam. This was an excellent video. With just a screwdriver and some spare parts I bought online I was able to replace the drum and rollers in 30 minutes and saved a couple of hundred bucks in parts and labor. Bravo Repair Clinic!

Thank you for this video. I was able to successfully change the drum and now it runs like new. I noticed there were screws missing namely on the bulkhead. I wonder if this was the source of my problem and perhaps others. Poor quality control by Samsung.
