A stylish seven-seater you've never heard of? 2023 Peugeot 5008 GT Sport review - family test 4K

There are a lot of seven-seat SUVs out there, but you mightn't have heard of this one - the 2023 Peugeot 5008 GT Sport.

We test a lot of 7-seaters in our family review section of the site, and the Peugeot 5008 isn't one that often comes up in conversation. Usually we talk about Kia Sorento, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mitsubishi Outlander, Nissan X-Trail, Isuzu MU-X, and plenty of others, but this French luxury-spec SUV could offer something very different to all of those models.

For one, it's a turbo-petrol model, and it's front-wheel drive (2WD) only. Secondly, you can remove the back seats if you don't need them (how neat is that?!). And thirdly, it has one of the most attractive interiors of any SUV at this price point.

Speaking of price, it's about sixty grand before on-road costs, which means it's not the most budget-friendly crossover ever, but it is European, and it does have quite a bit of luxury stuff including a massage setting for the driver's seat. Ooh la la!

It’s a shame the Skoda Kodiaq hasn’t been mentioned as it aligns more closely to the 5008 that the VW Allspace both n interior space dimensions and pricing even though the Kodiaq is a 4 x 4.

Don't get the rematk about the big gaps in the dashboard... It's simply how it's designed duh !

My solution to get more head space was to not buy the panoramic sunroof: this way you have many additional centimeters of head room
