Big Breakthrough on Quantum Computing

IBM recently hit a HUGE milestone with their quantum computer. They showed a way to deal with quantum noise - tiny random fluctuations in energy that exist everywhere in nature and result in errors during quantum calculations. Here's how and why it matters for the future of quantum computing...

Didn’t even know we were this advanced with any sort of quantum computing, so this is just good news all around.

That’s why I like you’re channel. Too much negativity spreads. We need someone to spread positivity, especially in an era where almost all scientific news is bad news.

This is how Dolby noise cancelation works.

Your smile when standing next to the Quantum computer was shear joy. I can only imagine that feeling. 😊

Every time you say " you might have heard of this in the news lately!" The answer is no, but i enjoy you telling ne about it 😂

Error mitigation sounds like a great approach to this issue. Just hope we (humans) are not considered an error.

I love how smart people think to get around the problems. This extrapolation thing is genial idea.

I think we must learn how to filter out that noise so the cpu can focus. This is New Teck, I can't wait to see what it will be in 5-10 years,

Some years ago, when quantum computing was introducing its first computers, I was watching a TED talk about a race to produce the most powerful quantum computer. Not long after that, I came across another TED talk where a video claimed to have observed an alternate reality for a brief moment. In the video, a small wooden guard station was being observed. It was at the exact time and place of the building she was in, except that the guard post in her reality was made of aluminum. Both guard stations were temporary; however, plans were in place for a more robust and permanent guard station. FYI, I believe that the QC only hade (23 cubits.) I’ve been looking for the video that I know I saved, but I can no longer find... Have you come across said TED talk session, thanks?

Basically think of it as moving your hand back before catching a ball. You make a motion to stop a motion 😊
