Yes a couple things didn't go as planned. However because he climbed all the way up and took a reasonably small top the result was not catastrophic. Great rule to follow is small pieces small consequences. Good job sir. Lessoned learned. Live to fight another day

I have been doing tree work for 30 plus years and that can and will happen. Wind can kick up and the whole thing changes. And you csnt do anything but hope and let it happen and hope you dont get hurt....

It happens ..i use my silky to finish my small tops when i drop then i just fell i get more control out of them

No matter how good you are sometimes thoes pines will get ya. Only serious mistakes I've made were topping a small pine top like that. So deceiving where the weight sits. Almost need to count the pines cones 😂

I’m a sparky and I’m always on ladders but unfortunately, I’m not good with heights, especially as I get older. I’m fine up until around 25’-30’, then I turn into a shaky baby. My Dad used to call me “Birdfoot” because he would swear my feet would be curling around the wrungs, lmao!!!! My brother in law is a tree guy and I’m always amazed by what you guys can do, not just the heights, but the intricate rope techniques and challenging stuff. He sends me pics a lot. You guys are badasses and this tree is way way up there. Thanks for doing what you do and posting for us….even if it makes me sick to my stomach. Be safe.
