It doesn't matter if the canopy was included in the renovations or not. Someone is responsible for regularly inspecting the structural integrity of the building.

Vučić is an autocrat, but still get support from the USA and the EU. I don't think there is a country in the world where there are more protests than in Serbia, but Vučić gets the support of the American ambassador to Serbia.

Koliko ovaj Vučić laže to je bolesno. Baš zato što ste je tako nakaradno renovirali, nastrešnica je pala. Da je niste dirali ništa se ne bi desilo.

Politicians are too preoccupied with making stuff look fancy and modern. Safety and function should be the only priority especially in places where there isn't money to throw around.

They don’t want to reveal the contracts because it will show who took the money and how much they actually spent on renovations.
Corruption is now even worse than in the 90’s with Slobodan Milosevic. God help us all. 😢

At the same time, old Sava brigde in Belgrade (built by Germans for transporting people to Croatian death camp) is closed on the same day when there was a tragedy in Novi Sad. The bridge is closed to be demolished and new one to be built. The whole project is kept in secrecy. People demonstrated, removed baricades and the bridge remans open for traffic under guard of local residents.

Germany temporary bridge is standind over 70 years, while infrastructure built by Serbian government is colapsing after 2 years.

The protesters should take a legal action against the Chinese companies and their Serbian partners to compensate for the dead people. It anything like this happens in the US the company would possibly go bankrupt...

When this station was renovated, our dearest president was the first to celebrate it's brand new reopening and boast about how much he invested in it, now he hides behind the "incompetency" of chinese companies and mistakes of the architects. What a shame...

Because they have psychopath to rule, who everyone hates, but no one can do anything, cuz so many people are involved and corrupted with money, their jobs depends on politics and which side they are chosing. So sad cuz Serbs are such a good people, Novi Sad is one of the most beutiful places .
