// PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT:

Real Estate Investment Trusts, or REITs for short, are an efficient and effective way to get exposure to the real estate market to diversify one’s investment portfolio without buying physical property. Better yet, REIT ETFs provide broad exposure to national and international commercial and residential real estate markets, allowing investors to avoid the idiosyncratic risks of local real estate markets inherent with owning property.

REITs offer a diversification benefit to long-term investment portfolios by being lowly correlated to both stocks and bonds. REIT ETFs provide cheap and easy access to that diversification. Let’s explore the best REIT ETFs.

Below are the 5 best REIT ETFs:
VNQ – Vanguard Real Estate ETF
VNQI – Vanguard Global ex-U.S. Real Estate ETF
SCHH – Schwab U.S. REIT ETF
USRT – iShares Core U.S. REIT ETF
REZ – iShares Residential Real Estate ETF

Is there a reason you don't include REITS in your ginger ale portfolio? Is it because you feel as though REITS wont generate good enough returns? or is it because you have other real estate exposure?

I'm trying mirror your ginger ale portfolio and trying to figure out if I should include reits into my asset allocation.

Thank you

What about just going into O fully? They seem so big and so internally diversified as a company, isn't that practically a fund in itself? Without the costs?

Now I have to ask this, would it be dumb if I were to add both VNQ and SCHH to my portfolio as those together can cause overlap?

So would you consider basically for Reits, that VNQ would be a safer and more diversified way of investing in comparison to like O?

If I have vnq in my Roth, would it be weird to have vnq again in a taxable dividend portfolio?

VNQ is the REIT ETF king 🤴. SCHH is the poor man's REIT ETF.
