'Felt Like A Puff For Meghan And Harry!' | Rupert Bell On The Archewell Foundation's New Initiative

Talk's Peter Cardwell is joined by royal correspondent Rupert Bell to discuss the Parent's Network launched by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex aimed to support families whose children have been negatively affected by social media.

In an interview about the new initiative, the Duchess also discusses her own mental health struggles.

Rupert adds, although "at the heart of it, it was a good idea" the interview itself "felt very staged" and "they need to focus on their work and less on themselves.".

She was never suicidal because iff your were you would never had got all dolled up and go to the night out at The Albert Hall, because when my Husband was killed whilst Fighting in Afghanistan I felt like taking my own life but it was only the thought of our children losing both parents that stopped me, so then I got some Professional Counseling and now I am OK, but when this was all going on in my life there was no way that I felt like getting all dressed up and going out, so I am saying she was lying about the whole episode just so she looked good on that Oprah Interview where as Oprah didn't even do any homework and check out all their lies and accusations, now a good reporter would have done that.

The way I understood this new Parent's Network, this group will be supporting Parents 'after the fact' that a tragedy has happened??!! Where does the 'preventative support' take place in all of this?? No, Not censorship of any programs but using the tools on phones, iPads etc to control what your child is viewing??  
The Parents spoke with real emotion and feelings, old 43% was wooden, subdued and almost looked bored in retelling commenting of Her story. No way to the 'surprise question'....All was per-approved and rehearsed before 'show time'!!

It was a puff for M and H Rupert. Don't try to get it nicer than it was. Everything scripted but the acting was bad except Harry who forgot one part of the Meghan's script and began to improvise

If it is supposed to be a charity that help parents who lost a child to suicide, why does MM make it about how awful her life in the RF was. Can she ever have empathy for others?

Did you read Henry's body language during that interview? He seemed disinterested and out of it! Rachel also at one point had a Charles Manson stare and while talking about her children she touched her forehead and hair and while saying that Archie and Betty are "Amazing" she looked downwards. Those are suspicious tells that Rachel may have been saying some untruths behind her words! You are right, Rupert, this interview was just another PR stunt! Don't forget both Prince William and Princess Catherine launched a campaign against cyberbullying back in 2017 and then Prince William carried it on in the years later by establishing a Taskforce. Also with the BBC, Prince William developed and online app to foster and support youngsters' well-being when using the internet! Kudos to the Prince and Princess of Wales for firstly addressing the issues of cyberbullying!

Meghan saying she didn't expect to be asked that question is laughable. She and Harry only do interviews where they have the questions in advance and can rehearse answers.

Rupert I can and will say that what they're doing is not a good thing. Their fan base is extremely toxic to anyone who opposes Meghan or Harry. If this subject is so important to them where was their public statement calling out the tremendous vitriolic online bullying Catherine received after her operation. Online chatter said everything from William beat her up to saying she was dead. Also the amount of bullying from online Catherine received about the Photoshopped picture was awful. No statement condemning the behavior and defending a closely related relative from Meghan and Harry. The only thing released was " friends" of Meghan saying she wouldn't make such a mistake.

This was another dig at the royal family. This period of alleged suffering and suicidal thoughts was while she was a working royal. Another chance for them to milk their royal connection and make the royal family look like cold heartless people that treated Meghan so badly that she contemplated suicide.

They are not living their own lives because everything they do is done as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The Sandringham summit established that they couldn't be half in half out. Doing " work" like this and going on " royal" tours seems like they are giving the middle finger to the King, William and the late Queen. They are acting as if they are half in half out. Disgraceful.
