Thank god I looked at this video. I was going to get a 2016 macbook pro (512gb) for $2, 799 from best buy; When I could get a refurbished 1TB version for $2, 719 from apple.

I always buy my MacBookPros on refurbished store. 2 class of devices are sell on refurbished. 1) Used device from warrenty exchange or company professionnal refreshing, 2) the last stock of product unsold when Apple put on market new models. You never found rebate in Apple Store because they want to keep the premium image. All item of the first case are audit and all breaking parts or defects are changed. If something is unrepairable, Apple don't sell it on refurbished. All devices seem like new and they have the same warrenty than a new one and you can buy AppleCare service on it. If your not happy, you can return it the same way and time that a new product. A nice choice, a lot more with the Cook's overhead inflation ...

surprising how many people don’t know about this!! very impressive the care and rigorous testing the refurb product goes through! And comes with the reg 1 year warranty and you can get Apple care. 99% of the time a refurb is simply a return within 14 days. And even then Apple will replace things like batteries 🔋! Hands down Apple is solid for refurb!! Cool vid subbed

Was looking to buy a new MBP on finance as an upgrade from my Late 2013 model though after looking at the refurb section, I noticed I could save quite a lot per month with the overall price being £350 cheaper. Regarding raw power though, my current machine outpowers the 2016 models in CPU performance so I'm kinda stuck atm. I do really like the new keyboard, touchbar and space gray colour though!

HDD SSD wear might be an issue on refurbished. I believe they give you a new battery

if you’re planning on getting the new macbook pro, you might as well get a brand new and apply for barclay bc i wouldn’t risk my money for a refurbished item. i don’t trust it
