Welcome to Chronicles, an immersive narrative expansion for Age of Empires II that transports players to the world of classical antiquity. Chronicles builds on Age of Empires II’s gameplay with a reimagined visual experience and a focus on epic, character-focused storytelling.

The inaugural chapter, Battle for Greece, features a campaign spanning over a century of history, including the Ionian Revolt, the Greco-Persian Wars, and the Peloponnesian War. Encounter iconic historical figures like Artemisia, Themistocles, and Brasidas, brought to life through engaging voice acting and animated cutscenes.

Created by a team of Age of Empires veterans, the visual rework includes 55 land unit models, 19 naval unit models and 85 building models across three new civilizations. Innovative gameplay including a unique naval combat system, special civilization mechanics, and mutually-exclusive technologies make this epic journey a must-play for strategy lovers and history enthusiasts alike.

I am flabbergasted. A campaign world map, animated cutscenes in the ancient Greek style, full new custom units and buildings (hail Romae ad Bellum). This is fan freaking tastic 🎉🎉🎉❤❤

Whoa...Never imagined something like this for AOEII DE. This is quite creative and unique. I am glad that the devs are trying new things with the DLC rather than same old stuff. Though I still want east asian faction DLC I am glad to have this epic campaign style content. Maybe this will become someone's childhood favorite campaign just like OG AOE2 campaigns were for me.

Wow! Age of Empires 2 has gotten even more better. I wasn't expecting a Greece Civilization with animated cutscenes, different unit types, buildings, and etc. Can't wait to head back into AOE2 now.
