The book I'm holding up in the video is 'Capital Volume I' by Marx which explains this concept in depth. For a more simplified explanation try the pamphlet 'Wage Labor and Capital' which is also by Marx. Links to both texts are provided below and you can always find them on our online library!

Another absolute banger Eddie. Short and digestible which is what I think leftists online often don’t cater too. To our detriment. Also the censorship but shit let’s start with what we can control

Yeah! The Industrial Revolution meant factory production for the mass market. It's a long time ago but you can get a real feel for what that entailed where I live on the R Clyde nr Glasgow, Scotland. Before that most people lived in small settlements in rural areas. Then the workforce were cleared from the Lowlands and the Highlands into the towns and cities. By the 1820's life expectancy on the Clyde was 27 years of age. No clean water. No sanitation. They worked in the factories and lived in the slums. But they left their mark on the land and on the world. Feel the power.

Bro, isn't Labour Power 'the capacity to perform labour', which is the actual thing the capitalist pays for?

Thanks in advance. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thoughts on the PMC and abstracted social forms of wage labor such as university work (parasitic forms of wage labor)

Would you say this is the main takeaway from WL&C and if not what are the others?

ok, capitalism is commodity production in its highest form... you need to sell a commodity to survive... I don't see anything wrong with this
