Border View Farms is a mid sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. We raise corn, soybeans, and wheat on a little over 3,000 acres.

My name is Nathan. I run this channel and farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil.  I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. I get questions about how and why we do things on the farm frequently even from my own family members so to help explain things it's easier to just show you.  I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture in general as well as dispel some of the common misconceptions.

I hope you enjoy my content and please ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can.

If you would like to send mail our address is:

Eragon, merge and sencore with roundup has been our go to for spring bean burn down. Haven’t had any issues with fleabane (marestail) on any of our no till beans on that program.

Maybe this winter you can weld a large hook at the top of pipe you just had fixed. Possibly some way to secure the end of the hose too. Continuous improvement!

You don't want water spraying when the plan comes....

I bet the pilot doesn't want it spraying way worse!!! Lol

You need to fabricate a couple hangers for that hose so it dont get knocked off again. The crop fields around here are all sorts of shapes and there is alot of rolling ground with woods around them so they spray with a helicopter, that pilot is amazing to watch

As a old time farmer you don't Count your bushels per acre until it's in the green bin safe

Crops are looking good!! Glad you got the irrigation repaired. You get your voltage situation taken care of? How many acres in that field you're irrigating now? Awesome vid, keep them coming. Be safe!!

You can still drape water hose over equipment, just tie off draped end with itself...

Not having seen anything really about growing corn It's hard to comprehend all that plant growth for one ear of corn.

A haggie sprayer may be tall enough to spray it if you have a neighbor with one. See a lot of them in corn in my area East if you.

Good fix on pipe. Presume you either or had welding shop fix that hole you punctured in length of pipe? Should be fixable. Enjoyed

Do you utilize a pre-emergent program on your beans to control the marestail? That may be a good option on your no-till beans

The last field you sprayed fungicide had an old fashion windmill you drove by. Is that yours? We have one that still pumps water.

I'm assuming the Ag dusters charge by the acre and you supply the chemicals. What on average do they charge up in you area per acre ? Great video once again.
