🎃🍂🌰Portuguese Proverbs in October

Показать описание
October often has an irregular climate, either too rainy or too dry. This has reflected in Portuguese proverbs which often reflect the agricultural life of the country. Here are examples of these two opposing realities.

COLOURED LETTERS REPRESENT LIAISONS AND ELISIONS
The red letters represent elisions which are vowels:
1 - that are pronounced very quickly and subtly or not at all ("estar" is a good example of this)
2 – with very reduced duration making it appear that they are not being pronounced at all. (The pronunciation of the preposition “de” and the “ue” in words like “queria” are good examples of this)

And green and purple represent the liaisons, which are vowels or letters that:
1 – merge words together (green);
2 - change their original sound due to the merge (purple);

These elisions and liaisons happen in the spoken form only and can vary greatly depending on formality, speed of speech, and also on regional accent.

This one is very quick, I like the new ones better where you teach slowly and repeat the words ❤
