(1168) How I Make LockLab Videos

Over the past year or two I've had several people interested in how I make the "average" video and how much work it is. The "work" really isn't in the picking part, but in the processing.

Wow, that's really quite a process, but it definitely shows in your professional end product. Thanks for sharing. 👍 I need to adopt your organization on Locks coming in and going out. I'm horribly unorganized in this, and quickly became overwhelmed.

WOW, that was fascinating. I had no idea how much was involved with your productions. No wonder they're high quality. Thank you, for ... all you do!

I love these behind the scenes videos as much as the picking and reviews.

A telling reminder of how much time and equipment cost goes into making something that most of us happily consume for free! Thanks Bill - I've learned so much from your YT channel.

So Bill is also a RC guy apparently! That's some serious size quadcopter on the wall. The emax motors on the shelves also gave this away, I love it!

Holy smokes, that’s a lot of tech work behind the scenes. I certainly appreciate all you do to share this fantastic work with us. I have made home movies years ago using Windows Movie Maker and it was pretty hard for me. Thanks so much Bill. And thank you to all the Lock-lab family for keeping this going.

I am a part time locksmith with a full time job doing something else. And I am in awe with how you do your job, do training videos, (Mr. Locksmith), do these picking videos, and what I thought you had others doing this of all things. Your own editing. My hat is off to you sir. At some point I would love to attend some of your training's and hope to meet you then. From Alaska, Bob

Thanks for this Bill. Very informative. So much so that I am saving it for reference, in case I ever decide to make my own videos. I love the fact that you are powering the lock lab with the most reliable fusion that we have on Earth, a safe distance of 150 million Km.

@bosnianbill, thank you for taking your time to do this, it was a very informative and friendly introduction into what goes into making these videos, i always suspected there was so much more than the 5-10 minutes we see

Great video. I follow a couple of people and charities on YouTube and i recently subscribed to your channel although i have been watching for a couple of years or so. I thought the way you explained the ins and outs of video making really interesting and fun even though it must take up so much of your time. I have fallen in love with your workshop and it reminds me of a guy i knew years ago who had worked for "Myford Lathes"in the UK. He was made redundant so he used his redundancy money to set up an ironmongers store with a medium size engineering workshop at the back. He started locksmith work by "osmosis" and a natural engineering brain but it ended up as his main trade. Your workshop is as neat and tidy as his was and of that i am so jealous. Thank you for the wonderful videos that help fill my time and give me ideas for projects to try (such as making my own picks using a small bench grinder and old 12" hacksaw blades suitably tempered) so i can fill my time well rather than just slobbing my life away in front of a TV. Again, Thank you so much for the immense time and effort you put in.
