Should you buy an Nvidia T400 over the GT 1030?

There is a new budget king for graphics cards, with the GT 1030 being dethroned by the Nvidia Quadro T400. But how much of an improvement can you expect?

you CAN run cyberpunk at720p 30FPS on the T400 due to the ddr6 vram. forget about it with a GT 1030 though. Random gaming in HD tested it and it worked fine.

Don't forget the AMD Radeon RX 6400 but it's a little more expensive though I'd recommend getting one if you're focused on gaming

great vid man...nice comparison....these days not much to pick from....im no in the budget range but still if i build one to sell i at least try and do a 4gig graphics card....overpriced but still wouldnt touch the rx6500...can get an older card thats just as good ig bot better...yeah it will beat a 1650 but not saying much with no encoders either and the x4 lilits too..

Scored mine for 140 dollars. This should make my dell vostro a decent emulation rig/steam box for modern fighting games.

The T400 (talking about the 4GB VRAM model) is a beast of a budget GPU.
It is a lot better than the 1030.
For example it won't drop below 30 FPS when playing Doom Eternal at 1080P low settings while the GT 1030 struggles even at 720P.
I am mostly playing Indie games and some older Triple A titles and with a few exceptions the Quadro T400 is able to handle anything I throw at it.

I think the MSI GT1030 you have is the DDR4 version. The performance is nearly half of the GDDR5 version, which is much closer to the T400.

I am not a gaming lover but I used to play PUBG by my mobile OP 7 which is being now 4 years and it is still better than other phone in the market. I bought this graphic card because i7 12700 does require a graphic card. I am using VMware workstation and GNS3, was it good enough for me ? Please suggest.

Why do people consider this card for gaming its clearly for editing and professional works, people should go for refurbished gtx or rx cards if they really need a "gaming card"

RTX 5090 cannot run games like Batman Arkham Knight (games with 32bit PhysX) unless of course one has an old GT 1030 to pair it with 😂

The GT 1030 is basically acting as a dedicated PhysX card

Dude, stop... 2GB is still the baseline requirements for a lot of games. Halo Infinite works just both on both of your cards. Someone tested a 1GB GT 710 DDR3 on Doom Eternal believe it or not. Just look up videos of people testing games on those cards. Also there is no T800, I think you meant T1000 but whatever. Fact is, you're clearly not as informed as you think you are.
