This woman is speaking the same old record . The police force has lost respect from the public .

We all know that nothing will change, the “blue wall of silence “, is so strong nobody will report another officer, and will always try and cover it up

Here's an idea, stop just letting anyone into the police and start looking for people with strength of character and a good attitude toward service to others. Stop box ticking and start policing.

The Police higher ups do not take police complaints seriously and do not do anything until it's too late, Until the Police can no longer close ranks this will continue.

She may well genuinely mean this, but a few funny handshakes and it hits a stone wall.

They can't report other police officers or they are ostracised and won't get promotion.

It is not the first time this has happened..how many unsolved crimes have gone on that involved officers in the past who are still out there at large?

This will be another excuse to police offensive comments to pretend they are "doing something". That is the problem: prioritising trivia and ignoring or covering up serious crime.

There is a serious lack of effective supervision within the police service from top to bottom. Academic achievement and lack of moral fibre generally go hand in glove.

Added ri my comment...I and a colleague told oue Inspector there was a shady member of our unit whose girl firend was the daughter of a known top local criminal. He said he couldn't do anything. Six years later I learned the police officer in question had been locked up for laundering drug money. We knew he was a bad'un but the4 powers that be hadn't the gutds to deal with him there and then.

Pathetic....wonder what degree she got to get the job. In my time we would have sorted them out quickly. The present police force is pathetic and needs a very serious shake up.

Make no mistake it’s a massive number and if you count the ones who know and stand by and do nothing it will amount to most of the force

Personally, I think box ticking is to blame.

Stop pulling instagram models who apply makeup with a shovel into the police force. It starts at the root not the leaves.
