Girl missing for 6 years found after she was recognized from Netflix series

There should be a different word for parents who take their own child against a court order, because it does not have the same implications as children who are kidnapped by strangers and have horrible things done to them and will likely get murdered. One is definitely a far worse crime than the other.

How can a mother kidnap her own daughter? The answer is that the state told the mother that she couldn’t keep her own child. I don’t know why, but there’s more to the story than we’re being told.

Also, how could a child go missing for 6 years and nobody check to see if the kid was with their mother?

The story really needs more follow up. Was the mother abusive or mentally ill? What trauma has the girl gone through and is she getting the help she needs now to deal with all the turmoil in her life? What will happen to her and what type of environment is she being sent back to?

Every story is going to be different - but at age 15 this could be everything from her salvation or the decimation of her life. If you pray, say one for her.

I hope folks remember that there are two sides to every story and maybe the mother had a good reason.
It’s so easy to judge and convict because we think we know the full story.
The only thing that I know for certain is that this child is going to be hurting.

My question is, was she trying to protect her daughter? As we know these child protective courts don't always make the right decisions. It's hard to hide yourself and your child away from the authorities for any length of time.

Well it's sad for the kid, she most likely didn't see her mother as a danger to her, and probably loves her mom. Idk how it turned into a mother kidnapping her own kid in the 1st place. But now that kid has been ripped from her mother and is probably going through a lot of grief over it.

This particular story makes me think that the mom really had no choice but to disappear! Sometimes the “criminal “ is not the one to blame for their actions.

For some reason the government decided the mother shouldn't have her child. Charging her with kidnapping is probably a crime by itself.

ugh.. another broken life, with a broken family, and a broken child...
please people... be careful, with whom you have kids with.. because its a terrible thing when two parents have to fight over a childs existence...
its almost unimaginable, and the parents truly have no idea the type of trauma they are distilling into their kids mind, that wont hit them till their adults.. Poor kid.. shes gonna have a hard life..
