I've only ever made them in the microwave LOL I had a very hard time keeping an appetite and weight growing up and got to craving baked potatoes even for breakfast which started worrying my mom but the doctor was like hey at least she's eating so if she wants a baked potato vs cereal for breakfast then go for it

You DO NOT need to poke holes in them. Wash, cover in plastic wrap, and cook 2 minutes and flip for another 2 minutes. You can do 2 at a time. I have been doing it for over 10 years.

In the summer I put them on the grill wrapped in foil. Much more flavorful than the microwave. But I have microwaved them in the past. I use a wet paper towel to cover and steam.

These didn't look fully cooked. I like my baked potatoes fluffy and these looked hard. I've tried this method many times and the potatoes are not as good as those baked in an oven.
